Updates!

Hello everyone out there!

I hope your day has been, and continues to be glorious and wonderful.

I’d like to start with an update about the Kickstarter project for Ancient Sands. Unfortunately, the project was not successful—in Kickstarter’s definition of successful. We did not make the goal funding to complete the project. Why do I still think it was successful? Because for one thing, it got the book’s name out there, letting all of you wonderful, generous people know what’s involved in the project! I was incredibly gratified (and frankly, humbled) by the amount of support the project received. This experience will forever be a life lesson for me.

Now what?

Ancient Sands still has a little ways to go before publication. However, it is in the hands of the editors! We will be working together on polishing this into the best piece we can make!

I also have the good fortune to announce my newest works-in-progress. Ancient Sands is the first in a series—the sequel is underway. Unfortunately, if I tell you more, it’ll be spoilers for the first book, so you’ll have to wait until Ancient Sands is out to find out what the next book is going to be!

Additionally, I’d like to introduce to you my newest obsession. Poppets. Little, magical homunculi that absorb all of humanity’s negative emotions. Because that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, right? In the world of the Poppets, humanity studies magic alongside science in a new utopian society!
