Submissions

While the title might have implications more suitable for a romance novel, what I want to talk about is submitting work to publishers. Do you only submit short stories? Do you query novels?

Are you an editor who has something they wish the world would consider before submission?

I’ve made mistakes. Believe me. I accidentally submitted the same story to Clarkesworld Magazine twice. Happily, the editor was really kind while I was trying to withdraw the submission. Newbie mistake. I now have a google sheet that tracks all my submissions. I can’t take credit for creating it, but I certainly added to it! I watch my lists, my trackers, my submissions like a hawk. I hope, one day, this becomes less unique and I get more casual about it. We’ll see!
