Ancient Sands now live!

I have the unalloyed pleasure to announce that my debut novel, Ancient Sands, is now live! It can be purchased on Amazon directly, or through my website here if you’re interested in a signed copy!

For those of you who have not been following, Ancient Sands is a book inspired by spice and mummies—the ancient Egyptian kind. Layla Packett, an archeologist who has spent her entire career studying Egyptology, finds a dream discovery. She and her team uncover a mummy buried in a secret chamber discovered under the Temple of Mut, in Karnak. Things seem to be at a peak in her career, until a self-absorbed and arrogant cat burglar (Ghent) is hired to steal a sacrificial plate from the recent find. Despite his expert entry into the museum after hours, no one was ready for Ghent to shatter the very plate he was sent to steal.

That’s when all hell breaks loose. A mummy? Alive?!

Ancient Sands was originally inspired by two things. First, the fact that I’d seen all sorts of stories involving supernatural creatures, but not a single mummy among them! And also, the time I saw a delightful Youtube video of a real Egyptologist watching The Mummy and pointing out things they got right (or wrong)! These two inspirations are what made Ancient Sands a reality. So to those of you who read it, I thank you.

If you’re looking for a spicy book that involves a mummy, Anubis, and an Egyptologist determined to save her career, look no further!
